Move accomplished!

Dear friends and supporters of Trätro!
Mozambique, October 20, 2025

Saying goodbye to my family, friends, and our house was much harder than I expected, but the welcome in Mozambique was very warm and immediately blessed through the faith conference “At the Table with God, My Father” in our AVA church. God used a team from the USA to make His love tangible to us. About 500 participants were encouraged, many reported healings, and our kitchen team worked hard to provide food for everyone over three days.

I have now been in Mozambique for two and a half weeks, have already recovered well from a viral attack, and was able to join the graduation celebration of 32 successful students from our courses in electrical work, tailoring, and welding. Moving speeches from the teachers, pastors, and leaders encouraged the young people never to stop learning, to search tirelessly for jobs, and to prove themselves as faithful stewards of the gifts and tasks entrusted to them.

Starting in January, we will offer advanced courses, for example in industrial electronics. We are also planning our own production workshop for welding and tailoring products, which will be sold at the market at our own stand. For this purpose, we want to employ some of the graduates.

Last Saturday, our church became a mobile clinic, where together with four nurse colleagues from Iris Ministries and several translators (for Xangana), I was able to treat 78 patients. In addition to medication and my herbal products, pastoral care and prayer were very necessary, because much suffering is caused by witchcraft, malice, and envy. For this reason, many also receive no help in the hospital, but as ambassadors of Jesus we are allowed to bring His light into the darkness. This is both a challenge and a joy!

Preparations for the weddings next Saturday are in full swing. Yesterday, three couples who have already participated in the marriage courses were introduced (pictured with the sponsors of one couple). Two additional couples dropped out for financial reasons because their relatives do not want to give up traditional payments, and one couple is in separation… We see that marriage and family are under fire, and many have no understanding of sexual faithfulness, which leads to great need and many broken families.

Heinz still has final tasks and organizational work to complete in Schärding. Tomorrow the container will be picked up (pictured are some hardworking helpers) and on Wednesday he will fly to Mozambique. The last days in the empty house were not easy for him…

Meanwhile, Udo is handling some business matters for EMCA here, and he also has to travel to China again… The EMCA team is already very committed. May God reward all their efforts with abundant blessing!

Kurt is preparing everything in terms of construction so that the Depoly machine can arrive in November. He is like a father to his team, and they love him; I could clearly see that during my visit for a meal.

Thank you very much for all your help through prayer and gifts!
May God richly repay you with joy, strength, and His presence!
